People who drop out of high school tend to have regrets later in life. In a study done by the Gates Foundation for the report, “The Silent Epidemic,” 74% of the participants who took the survey said they would stay in high school if they had to do it all over again. Many people who replied to the survey said they left school for what they later considered to be frivolous reasons such as the promise of quick money or freedom from structure. In the end, most dropouts wished they had a second chance.
